For comparison, the global IB average stands at approximately 30 points. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year secondary education course taught in English. Upon successful completion, students are awarded the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma — an internationally recognised qualification that serves as a key entry requirement for many of the world’s leading universities.
When students select the appropriate subject combination and achieve a competitive score, their results can open doors to top-ranked universities worldwide, including those consistently placed among the global top ten. The Diploma Programme is validated and quality-assured by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), based in Geneva, Switzerland, with assessment and moderation processes coordinated from the United Kingdom.
To be awarded the IB Diploma, students must achieve a minimum of 24 points out of a possible 45.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) consists of six academic subjects, the Extended Essay (EE), and the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course. In addition, all students are required to complete the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) component.
Students select six subjects — three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL) — according to their academic interests, personal strengths, and intended field of study at university. HL subjects comprise approximately 320 teaching hours across the two years of study, while SL subjects include around 200 hours.
Altogether, the IBDP programme — including TOK, CAS, and the Extended Essay — represents approximately 1,700 hours of study over two years, which equates to an average of around 20 hours per week.
The six academic subjects are organised into six subject groups, from which students must choose one subject from each group offered at our school.
An exception applies to Group 6 (The Arts), where students may choose an additional subject from Groups 3 to 5 instead, depending on their academic focus and future university aspirations

Application deadlines and admission dates for the 2027/2028 school year have not yet been set. We will publish the dates on the website once they have been confirmed.

An essential part of the application is a motivational essay reflecting the applicant’s reasons for studying the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and their intended academic or professional focus. The recommended length is approximately ten standard pages. There is no prescribed structure — applicants are encouraged to express their ideas freely and authentically. The essay must be submitted as an attachment to the online application form no later than the application deadline.
The application may also include a letter of recommendation, which is optional but strongly encouraged. This letter may be written by a teacher from the applicant’s current school, preferably in a subject related to their chosen field of interest. The deadline and method of submission are the same as for the motivational essay.
Admissions to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) for the 2026/2027 school year have already taken place.
The entrance examination is conducted in English before an admissions board and consists solely of a motivational interview. During the interview, applicants discuss their motivation for joining the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the topic of their submitted essay. There are no written tests or subject-specific examinations.
On the day of the entrance examination, applicants must present certified copies of their last three school reports (or, if they have already completed compulsory schooling, the last three reports issued before its completion), as well as any language certificates, if available. These documents must be provided in person.
The typical age of students admitted to the IBDP is 17 to 19 years. The main requirement for admission is the completion of compulsory schooling; current enrolment in a secondary school is not mandatory.
The tuition fee covers the cost of studying within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). In addition to tuition, certain administrative fees may apply, for example for processing the application or completing enrolment procedures.
Additional fees are paid directly to the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), which administers the official certification. These include fees for examination registration, specialised textbooks, and final diploma processing. The total of these IBO-related fees depends on the number of subjects taken and the use of specific materials, but typically does not exceed EUR 1,000, in accordance with the current IBO fee schedule.
